Governor John Bel Edwards gave his side of the story after allegations he knew of Ronald Greene’s 2019 death and that he failed to make details public and interfered with the investigation prior to his 2019 reelection. A text from then State Police Head Kevin Reeves informed Edwards that an unnamed motorist was pronounced dead at a hospital after a struggle with responding officers.
