A spokesperson for Senator John Kennedy says Louisiana’s junior senator will try to add disaster relief money to an infrastructure bill that could start moving soon in the Senate.

The state’s largest healthcare system reports a 700-percent increase in COVID hospital patients in the last month. Ochsner CEO Warner Thomas says and among the COVID patients at their facilities a large majority are unvaccinated.
