Governor Edwards vetoes a bill that would have removed the need to have a permit to carry a concealed gun for those 21 and older. This veto, along with the veto of a bill that bans transgender athletes from playing on girls’ sports teams in school could result in lawmakers calling the first-ever veto override session.

Starting July 1st Louisiana student-athletes will be able to receive compensation for the use of their name, image, and likeness. Jeff Palermo spoke with UL System President Jim Henderson about the new policy…
