Under a bill by Gonzales Representative Kathy Edmonston, that’s headed to the House floor your state driver’s license can’t be turned into a vaccine passport. Matt Doyle has more.

The Bayou State is poised to keep its six congressional seats according to the most recent Census. Louisiana had more than 4.6 million people in the 2020 tally, about 124,000 more people than in 2010. Louisiana lost a congressional seat in the 2010 census after a post Katrina population loss.

The Title Nine scandal at LSU has dominated the news, but the school celebrated Monday as they introduced one of the most successful coaches in women’s basketball who will now steer the Ladies Tigers, basketball team. Kim Mulkey recognized the elephant in the room and promised to make a difference…

The most recent report of COVID cases in Louisiana nursing homes indicates a continued downward trend. Of the state’s 275 homes they are reporting fewer than 30 new cases. Tulane Epidemiologist Doctor Susan Hassig says it’s a testimony of the strong efficacy of the vaccines.

Nursing home data is reported each Wednesday and of the 14 facilities that reported a new case last week, they had no more than two new infections.
