The LSU baseball team ended the regular season by sweeping Ole Miss to finish the season 13-and-17 in the SEC. D-1 Baseball released its Regional projections and they have the Tigers as a three-seed in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
D-1 baseball has both Louisiana Tech and U-L Lafayette as two seeds. The Bulldogs are in College Station, Texas, while the Cajuns are at Clemson.
U-L Lafayette’s Kyle DeBarge was named Sun Belt player of the year today, L-P Langevin as pitcher of the year, left-handed pitcher Chase Morgan as freshman of the year and Matt Deggs as Coach of the Year.
Hall of Famer Seimone Augustus is back at LSU as she’s joining Kim Mulkey’s staff as an assistant coach. Augustus led the Lady Tigers to three straight final four appearances and then went on to win four W-N-B-A championships. The Ragin Cajuns softball season ended on Sunday with a four to three loss to the Baylor Bears. A disappointing end for a team that won 45 games this season. Brooke Ellestad couldn’t hold back the tears in the postgame press conference
