Reports filed in the 3^rd District Court say 23 year old Jacoby Johnson confessed to the stabbings on the Campus of Louisiana Tech earlier this month that killed one and injured three others. La Tech Police arrested Johnson 4 minutes after receiving a 911 call then transported him to a local hospital. Johnson confessed to La Tech Assistant Police Chief Bill Davis while he was being treated for a cut, saying he snapped under pressure and stress of school work, became angry and wanted to attack people. Johnson said if he had not been caught he would have continued to attack others. He has been held without bond since his arrest on November 13. A sanity hearing for Johnson’s mental capacity is scheduled for January 23.

If you want to see the world’s tallest Christmas tree structure, just make your way toward north Louisiana to DeSoto Parish which now holds the world record with its 300-foot-tall tree structure. Sheriff Jayson Richardson says the tree is lit from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm every night. He says hundreds of people have already come to Stonewall to see the light setup.

A disturbing story in south Louisiana today as an 11-year-old girl has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 36-year-old Kameran Bedsole. Bedsole’s body was found in the 47-hundred block of Jasper Road in New Iberia on November 14th.
