Head Coach Willie Green…

The key to this season is the health of power forward Zion Williamson who is entering his fifth season, but has only played in 114 games. Brandon Ingram also needs to show that he can stay healthy. The 26-year-old has missed 62 games over the last two seasons. Tip off tonight in Memphis at 7 PM.
Last night in Ruston, Louisiana Tech fell to New Mexico State 27-24. The Bulldogs fall to 3-and-6 on the season. That’s four losses on the season decided by eight points or less.

LSU Coach Brian Kelly provided an injury update on two key defensive starters. Kelly said cornerback Zy Alexander and defensive tackle Mekhi Wingo will “miss some time.” It’s unclear if they will play against Alabama. Cornerbacks Duce Chestnut and Denver Harris remain inactive, so LSU is very thin at corner.

If Alexander, Chestnut and Harris are unavailable that leaves LSU with sophomores Sage Ryan and Laterrance Welch and freshmen Jeremiah Hughes and Javian Toviano at corner. Kelly is optimistic they can get the job done..
