This bill was included in the Governor’s 2015 Legislative Package, and the new law would criminalize this distribution of private image in public, including social media.

Jindal says this is blatant disregard for personal privacy and the number of people affected by this is shocking.

The network says its dropping the show because of ties with Donald Trump who recently made comments about Mexican immigrants bringing drugs, crimes and rapists to the US. Univision says it’s relationship with the Miss Universe Organization is over.

Monsanto says they have possible plans to make a $1 billion dollar expansion to their plant in Luling producing a new product line to help with the growth of soybeans, cotton and corn. St. Charles Parish President V.J. St. Pierre says this would mean about 540 new direct jobs and the final decision will be made in the early part of 2016..:

Saints Quarterback Drew Brees tells ESPN’s Ed Werder that he’s convinced he’ll win a another Super Bowl. That’s a 24 spot drop from last year.

Monsanto announces possible plans to make a 1 billion dollar expansion to their Luling plant. The addition would produce a new product line to help with the growth of soybeans, cotton and corn. St. Charles Parish President V.J. St. Pierre says this is very exciting and Monsanto has always been a great industrial partner in the community:

Former LSU shortstop Alex Bregman has signed with the Houston Astros. His signing bonus is reportedly around 6 million dollars. The Astros have also announced the signing of left-handed pitcher former Tiger Zac Person. Bregman was the second overall pick in the MLB draft and Person was picked in the ninth round by Houston.

Governor Bobby Jindal officially hits the campaign trail today after his announcement Wednesday that he is seeking the Republican Presidential nomination. ULM Political Science Professor John Sutherlin says even though many people don’t believe Jindal has much of a chance at the White House, our Governor has a history of being a good campaigner…:

The Monsanto board will make an official decision in early 2016 which could mean a potential investment of more than $1 billion dollars over the course of 3-5 years and result in 540 new jobs.

The St. Helena Parish Sheriff’s Office says a teenager is dead after his tractor rolled off a bridge and landed on top of him. They say 17-year-old Zachary Henry of Amite was driving over a narrow wooden bridge when the tractor veered too close to the side of the bridge and broke the planks. The tractor rolled off the bridge and landed on top of Henry in a ditch. Henry was pronounced dead at the scene.

Not many are giving Governor Bobby Jindal much of a chance to win the Republican presidential nomination. Emelie Gunn speaks with a political analyst who thinks Jindal can prove doubters wrong…

The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office believes a man is dead after apparently drowning while tubing on the Bogue Chitto River. They say 32-year-old Edmond Adams, a Prairieville native living in New Orleans, was tubing with a group of friends when he lost control of his tube and disappeared under the water. Adams never resurfaced. Search crews were unable to find Adams’ body yesterday. The search continues today.
