State Police have arrested the final suspect wanted in the murder of a Rayville man last month. Larry Ray Brown was taken into custody without incident at a Monroe hotel. Brown is accused of fatally shooting 23-year-old Michael Bradley in the yard of a trailer home. Brown is booked with second degree murder. Three others were previously arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit second degree murder.

For her senior thesis project, U-L Lafayette industrial design graduate student Kate Brown entered the Innovations in Life Jacket Design Competition where she designed a comfortable life preserver made especially for women. The state department of corrections says the that prisoner who was accidentally released from prison is back in Louisiana. Spokesperson Pam LaBorde says 32-year-old Benjuiel Johnson is at Angola. Johnson, who was convicted on manslaughter, was released as a result of an error by department of corrections worker. Johnson was found last Friday at a motel in an Atlanta suburb.
