I hope you enjoyed this brief respite from the rain, because it’s coming back next week. A low-pressure area has formed off the coast of Mexico and is expected to move up the Gulf towards Louisiana and Texas. While the system is not expected to develop, LSU Health Climatologist Barry Keim says the moisture it brings will certainly add to the total rainfall.

For no-party voters heading to the polls for the U.S. Senate runoff, which ballot do they cast? In nearly all cases, it’s the same party as the one they cast last month. Trey Williams with the Secretary of State’s Office says unless they have since registered with the other party by last Saturday, there’s no last-minute party-switching allowed.

The monster will be mashing in Baton Rouge for one more season. Steven “Monster” Milam has removed his name from the MLB Draft and will return to LSU for his season. Glen West with On3-dot-com says Milam’s decision wasn’t just financial – he wanted to play for Jay Johnson for one more season.

A documentary on legendary Heisman trophy-winning LSU running back Billy Cannon is set to be released on Louisiana Public Broadcasting the week of this year’s LSU-Ole Miss game. His daughter, Bunnie Cannon, made the project happen. She says she wants to give fans a glimpse at who he truly was.
