An Acadiana family mourns the loss of their teenage son. Reports say the body of 15-year old Quawan “Bobby” Charles was found in a sugarcane field by a law enforcement drone on Monday. Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Katherine Breaux.

Charles was reported missing on October 30th after a reported friend and his mother picked him up without permission from the family. Reports say the family saw the teen’s body at the coroner’s office with a large knot on his head. IPSO spokesperson Katherine Breaux….

A committee formed to investigate avenues for a pandemic Mardi Gras made recommendations like lower alcohol consumption, mandatory mask-wearing on floats and routes, and for vulnerable people to stay away from parades.
Hardy warns we’re getting awfully tight on time and sooner rather than later krewes must get explicit guidance on what the season will look like.

Superkrewe Bachus has already announced its intentions to roll down St. Charles on its usual route the Sunday before Mardi Gras Day.
Hardy says if Mardi Gras is severely limited or parades end up getting banned anyway celebrations will still be held and the party will pick back up in 2022.

It’s been nine days since Hurricane Zeta struck southeast Louisiana, knocking out power to approximately half a million customers in the state before Zeta moving across the southeast. Power has been restored to a majority of the area but approximately 9-thousand* remain without power. Governor John Bel Edwards thanked utility crews for their hard work and offered encouraging news.

Edwards says he’s seen plenty of damage along the coast in Terrebonne and Lafourche Parishes and the state doesn’t need another storm anytime soon so repairs can be made.
