Not every LHSAA school was happy after a special meeting’s vote last year defined a select school. 9 schools that were considered public schools decided to file a lawsuit against the committee’s decision saying that it should be left to a proper vote of the membership. The LSU Defense continues to struggle this season as missed tackles and poor communication have the Tigers allowing teams to complete 47% of their 3rd downs. This is part of a much larger problem as LSU’s defense is giving up about 430 yards per game which will be a problem against an undefeated Missouri team whose offense is averaging 453 yards a game. The Saints red hot start has ended in a .500 winning percentage through the first 4 games. After winning their first two games against the Titans and Panthers, New Orleans lost a contested matchup against the Packers and then got upset at home against the Buccaneers. The Saints defense is 11th in total yards per game at about 304, while the offense has struggled to click, producing just 285 yards per game this season which is 23rd in the league.

Economist Dr. Loren Scott predicts the state will add nearly 81 thousand jobs over the next two years. Scott says the industrial industry will see a growth in employment due to large numbers of projects in south Louisiana…

She is also charged with four counts of Felony Carnal Knowledge of Juvenile and one count of Oral Sexual Battery.

Almost four percent of Louisiana’s registered voters have already cast their ballots for the October 14^th primary. As of Monday, Over 118 thousand people participated in early voting which began on Saturday. JMC Analytics Pollster John Couvillon says so far more registered Republicans are showing up to the polls than Democrats.

Beginning today, nearly 81 thousand new names of unclaimed property owners have been published in local newspapers. State Treasurer John Schroder says people may not always be aware of money owed to them. He says they’ve been able to identify tens of thousands of recipients who are owed money, but it could also include relatives.

 A former Tangipahoa Parish School teacher has been arrested. 33 year Morgan Freche is accused of sex crimes, including a rape charge. According to the Tangipahoa Sheriff’s office, Investigations began after receiving reports that a now 17 year old student had fathered Freche’s child.

Legal analyst Franz Borghardt says even if the sexual relationship was consensual, it is still rape.

The sexual misconduct allegations date back approximately 2 years. Freche turned herself in detectives this morning after several warrants had been issued. Freche is charged with 4 counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, one count of oral sexual battery, and 3^rd Degree Rape

After two full days of early voting for the gubernatorial primary, The Secretary of State’s office says voter turnout may point to a lower turnout. Gubernatorial primary voting is usually in the mid-40s, but Couvillon says based on the first two days of early voting, the turnout could be lower than that…

 A 33 year old former Tangipahoa Parish school teacher accused of sex crimes, including a rape charge, has been arrested after turning herself in to detectives this morning. Investigators claim she was impregnated by a now 17 year old student.
