Governor John Bel Edwards on his “Ask the Governor” radio show said he’s more encouraged about the possibility of raising the minimum wage in Louisiana after Arkansas decided to raise their wage to 11-dollars an hour by 2021. Raising the minimum wage has been a campaign promise for the governor and he’ll push the legislature to pass legislation next year…

Shreveport police have arrested a 13-year-old who is accused of shooting a pizza delivery driver earlier this month. 28-year-old Lester McGee was gunned down two days after starting with Domino’s. The teen, who will not be identified because of his age, surrendered to Shreveport Police and he was accompanied by his mother.

Saints defensive end Marcus Davenport has returned to practice on a limited basis. Davenport is trying to come back from a toe injury that has sidelined him since the win over the Vikings.

Rookie wide receiver Tre’Quan Smith was also limited at practice yesterday with a foot injury. It’s unknown if wide receiver Brandon Marshall will make his Saints debut.

UL-Lafayette and ULM will face each other Saturday at Malone Stadium with first place on the line in the Sun Belt West Division. Both teams are 6-5 overall, 4-3 in conference and in a three-way tie with Arkansas State. A Mandeville couple doing some house cleaning, found a winning lottery ticket worth one-point-eight million dollars, just two weeks shy of expiration. It was the sole jackpot-winning ticket from a June drawing. Louisiana Lottery spokesperson BreAnne Frye says the ticket was found on a nightstand.

With the Rams historic 54-51 win over the Chiefs on Monday night, Los Angeles keeps pace with New Orleans for the top seed in the NFC playoffs. The Saints still own the tie breaker, thanks to their head-to-head win over the Rams.

New Orleans will host Atlanta Thanksgiving night and if the Saints score 40 or more points, they will become the first NFL team to score 40 or more points in seven games during a season.

A judge has ruled the Vermilion Parish School Board broke the state’s open meeting law when they threw out a teacher who spoke against a 30-thousand dollar raise for Superintendent Jerome Puyua (PEE-oh) during a January board meeting. The dustup drew national media attention and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry says he’s begun an education campaign to help government bodies follow the rules when it comes to public comment…

The judge also threw out Superintendent Puyau’s 30-thousand raise.

A 105-year prison sentence has been handed down against 56-year-old Douglas Holley, who was convicted of a crime in which detonated a homemade bomb in an effort to kill a veterinarian and his wife. The bomb did not hurt Bobby Hewlett and their wife of Bossier Parish. Holley worked as a horse farm handyman and prospectors say he was upset they couldn’t save his horse from dying.

John has been on the front lines lobbying at the State Capitol for legislation that benefits the state’s energy industry. John said in a statement it was time for him to move on to his next adventure.

Louisiana’s 4th district Congressman Mike Johnson of Bossier Parish will serve as chairman of the Republican Study Committee when the 116th Congress convenes in January. Johnson says the R-S-C will advance core conservative principles. The former Congressman says he’s hoping the Democratic-controlled House doesn’t just focus on impeaching President Donald Trump…
