One legal analyst says the 16-count indictment against Attorney General Liz Murrill is going nowhere. Loyola University Law Professor Dane Ciolino says the best evidence to support his legal opinion is that the Louisiana State Supreme Court issued a stay in the indictment less than 24 hours after an Orleans Parish Grand Jury accused the A-G of malfeasance and intimidation…

Since then, the court has also vacated the arrest warrant against the attorney general.

If you’ll be out on the waterways this Fourth of July weekend, be aware Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries agents will be beefing up their patrols.  It’s part of Operation Dry Water, a national campaign focused on preventing driving or operating a vessel while impaired. The initiative runs through the end of the holiday weekend.

LSU-Alexandria breaks ground on its new 43-million-dollar Health Education Campus. Dr. Ryan Riche (REE-shay), the dean of the College of Health and Human Services at LSU-A, says the 78-thousand-square-foot facility will include active-learning classrooms, advanced simulation laboratories and a 240-seat auditorium.
