Louisiana child care providers say rising costs and staffing shortages are putting increasing pressure on their ability to stay open and serve families. A school bus crashed in Grant Parish on Friday evening. According to Sheriff Steven McCain, 21 students were on board and 19 were sent to a hospital, with most going to Rapides Regional Medical Center. Two students had to be airlifted to a Shreveport-area trauma center. There are no confirmed fatalities.
