LSU will take on Kentucky in Lexington on Saturday. Something LSU fans may know a thing or two about — the Wildcats have struggled to contain mobile quarterbacks this season. South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers ran for 147 yards against them last week, and coach Will Stein says his defense needs to improve with Sam Leavitt coming to town.
Running back Alvin Kamara and wide receivers Chris Olave and Barion Brown were back at Saints practice today after missing yesterday. Linebackers Kaden Elliss and Anfernee Jennings were still sidelined, and quarterback Tyler Shough was a full participant after being limited with a hand injury yesterday.
The LSU men’s basketball team takes on McNeese tonight in an exhibition game. All the proceeds from the trip to Lake Charles will go to the Cowboys’ basketball program. LSU and former McNeese coach Will Wade says he owes everything he has to the people of Lake Charles for sticking their necks out and saving his career by hiring him after he was fired by LSU.
Cut 15 (11) “…for their program.”
Tip-off is set for 6:30.
