Tropical Storm Arthur is expected to bring heavy rainfall to Louisiana starting tonight into tomorrow. Jeff Palermo has more.

The Department of Transportation and Development is encouraging drivers to use caution if traveling during the storm. Reduce speeds, turn on headlights and allow for extra driving time. They say avoid driving into standing water or using cruise control during inclement weather.

An Australian woman in Franklinton is facing up to five years in prison after allegedly lying about being a U.S.citizen and illegally voting in the 2022 and 2024 federal elections. Secretary of State Nancy Landry says she is one of numerous noncitizens found using the federal SAVE database. Landry says there are open investigations into other cases of illegal voting, and she expects more indictments in the near future.

LSU landed a commitment from the top running back in the state. Franklin Parish four-star Trey Martin chose LSU over offers from Florida and Ole Miss. Franklin Parish football coach Adrian Burnette says he’s quiet off the field, but he’s always around his teammates.
