A 3-year-old boy was found unresponsive in a hotel swimming pool in New Iberia yesterday. New Iberia police said it happened just before 12:30 in the afternoon at the Ramada Inn on Hwy 14. When police arrived, the child was out of the water, and they immediately began lifesaving measures. The child was transported to a hospital by air but efforts to save him failed and he was pronounced dead at the hospital. The incident is under investigation.
