LSU defensive end Princewill Umanmielen was served papers in the parking lot of the LSU football facility yesterday. They’re related to the lawsuit filed by Ole Miss that claims he owes the school 550-thousand dollars for breaking his revenue-sharing contract to transfer to LSU.
Shreveport commercial frying equipment producer Frymaster is expanding its operations. The business began in Shreveport in 1935 and now serves major foodservice operators around the world. Vice President of Business Development and Product Management, Wendell Hays, says they are investing 11 million dollars.

A manhunt is underway in northwest Louisiana for a Caddo Correctional Center inmate who escaped Monday night. Authorities say 24-year-old Tre’Veon Jackson escaped custody after being transported to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport. Caddo Parish Sheriff Henry Whitehorn says Jackson evaded capture, carjacked a vehicle and crashed that vehicle near Highway 80 and Interstate 220.
