The New Orleans Archdiocese has released the names of 57 priests dating back to 1917 who had credible allegations of child sexual abuse against them while in the ministry. Archbishop Gregory Aymond says they voluntarily released the list to help facilitate the healing process for victims and parishioners.

Gas prices are on the decline as according to Gasbuddy-dot-com the statewide average has fallen three-cents in just the last 24 hours and the price at the pump is about a dime cheaper than a month ago. Gas-buddy-dot-com fuel analyst Dan McTeague says this is a result of a drop in oil, as October was a big sell-off month…

The price at the pump has seen a decline.  The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline is $2.47 in Louisiana today, down three cents from yesterday, nine cents since last week, and nearly sixteen cents since last month.  Gas Buddy.com fuel analyst Dan McTeague says we may see the price continue to drop even further.

3,000 homes are still without power after a nasty line of storms hammered central Louisiana yesterday. Along with heavy rains and winds, seven tornadoes were were spotted, with an EF-2 tornado in Grant Parish injuring two people. Five of the seven twisters touched down in Rapides Parish. Governor John Bel Edwards will be in Washington Parish around noon to survey damage.

Governor John Bel Edwards is returning from Israel today and will travel to Washington Parish to survey the areas hardest hit by severe weather earlier this week.  National Weather Service says a pair of EF2 tornados hit the parish with top winds of 115 mph.  The storm has left hundreds of Entergy customers without power.  In central Louisiana, Cleco has over 3,000 customers still without power.

March of Dimes has released its annual report which grades all 50 states on their rates of preterm birth and reveals racial, ethnic, and geographic disparities in each state.  The country overall got a C-grade and Louisiana received an F.  President of the organization, Stacy Stewart says it’s an indicator more babies are being born premature and less healthy.

The Louisiana Department of Health says they are partnering with hospitals, providers, and March of Dimes to build on the medicaid expansion to get pregnant women the care and support they need.

Thousands are expected to attend the Giant Omelette Celebration in Abbeville this weekend.  The festival was started in the 1980s with the determination to bring the community closer to its French Heritage.  Celebration president Ray Trahan says the omelette, made in a 12-foot skillet with over 5000 eggs, gets served up to those in attendance.

The Saints are one-point favorites against the only undefeated team in the league Sunday as the 8-0 Rams charge into the Dome to take on the 6-1 Saints. But the Saint favored for a reason, with the dome at their back and possibly the most balanced roster in the league, Vegas likes them to take down LA. Mike Thomas and Alvin Kamara have been the featured guys this year, but analyst Mike Detillier says he expects this to be a different kind of game.

Governor John Bel Edwards is expected to arrive this morning in Louisiana after a week long economic development trip to Israel. Once he touches down, he’ll head to Washington Parish to survey storm damage. There’s another threat for severe weather on Monday.
