State police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened in Acadia Parish last night. Rayne Police requested assistance following a response to a call of someone firing a gun. Once officers arrived, gunfire was exchanged and the individual was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries. No officers were injured.

Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and the Louisiana Office of Tourism launched the “My Louisiana” campaign to promote domestic and international travel. Nungesser says the campaign shows potential visitors that Louisiana has something for everyone.
