In St Helena Parish one person is dead and two others injured after a shooting at St. Helena College and Career Academy this afternoon. A second shooting victim reportedly showed up at a local hospital claiming that others may be hurt and third victim is reportedly being airlifted to children’s hospital in Baton Rouge. This is a developing story.

Chancellor Paul Coreil says students transferring to LSUA from other institutions increased by 49 percent last year.
