Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joe Lopinto says a suspect is in custody in the murder of a woman and two children at a home in Terrytown. Lopinto says it appears the victims died from blunt force trauma in an attack that also seriously injured a teenager and another child. Lopinto says the suspect has confessed to the crimes.

An autopsy report is expected today on the three victims that were murdered in Terrytown. Nola.com has identified 32-year old Christine Riley as the adult victim in the case, two children were also murdered.

Their bodies were found Wednesday morning according to Jefferson Parish Sherriff Office.

Two other juveniles remain in critical condition.

Jefferson Parish Sherriff Office says they have one suspect in custody who has confessed to the crime.

There’s another delay in the production of medical marijuana. Agriculture Commissioner Mike Strain is the regulator of the state’s medical marijuana program and he claims LSU and its private grower, GB Sciences, violated law by moving cannabis plants from a temporary pod to the main growing facility. Political analyst Bernie Pinsonat says it’s unclear when medical marijuana will be available to the patients who have been waiting to purchase the drug.

Also today, Southeastern Louisiana hosts ULM. The Lions beat the Warhawks 10-3 yesterday. The Cajuns are at McNeese after beating Nicholls three to one last night. The Colonels visit South Alabama.

A Louisiana Navy recruit from Monroe collapsed and died following physical training at Great Lakes, Illinois. The Navy says personnel administered first aid to 20-year-old Kierra Evans, but she died at a hospital several hours later. A cause of death is unknown.
