There are nine pharmacies around the state that have been licensed to distribute medical marijuana which will be in a liquid form.

The Tangipahoa Parish Public School System is the latest in the state to uncover a potential cybersecurity issue. LSU’s Stephenson National Center for Security Research Executive Director Jeff Moulton says it is likely happening due to the systems being easy targets, but could potentially be more malicious.

An Orleans Parish Civil Court judge is expected to set a date today on when NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will be deposed as part of the “Nola No Call Civil Suit.” An appeals court has denied the NFL’s attempt to block Goodell and other league officials from testifying. The goal of the suit is to make the NFL accountable and any damages recovered will go to charity.

A new child passenger safety law goes into effect Thursday. All children 12 and younger must be restrained in the back seat and State Police Lt. Nick Manale says the new law calls for children to remain in the most protected category of child restraint…

He’s listed as the state’s top recruit by 24-7 sports and helped the Cubs win back-to-back Division Two state titles.

LHSAA’s select schools will meet today in Lafayette as the group needs to discuss where it will hold its championship events in football, basketball, baseball and softball. They’ll also discuss forming their own association within the LHSAA. Teurlings Catholic Principal Mike Boyer says the meeting is not an attempt to leave the LHSAA, rather a structured effort to secure a common voice on behalf of select schools.
