Lee says the popularity of the Christmas Eve bonfires has been growing steadily over the last 25 years or so and expects the levees to be packed tonight. If you plan on heading to the Bonfires on the Levee celebration, it’s recommended that you get into the area before 6PM. The fires will be lit around 7 o’clock.
