An early morning fire in New Orleans has left 5 people dead in the Broadmoor area. A New Orleans Fire Department spokesperson says an elderly woman, and a woman and her three children were killed in the blaze. No other information on the victims has been released. The father of the children made it out of the home and called authorities. He was unsuccessful in returning to the home to save his family.

Today is Veteran’s Day, a day to honor the millions who have served our country and fought, and are still fighting, for our freedom. Louisiana Department of Veteran’s Affairs Secretary David LaCerte says it’s important that we remember those who have lost their life for our country, and those who are still serving. LaCerte says there is more we can do than just shake a hand and thank a vet for their service…

Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu’s latest television AD shows shows her republican challenger, Bill Cassidy, stumbling badly over his words during a speech last May. The ad attempts to tell voters that Cassidy will not have a strong voice in Washington D-C….

A fatal shooting of a hunter in Rapides Parish will not result in any charges. Sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Tommy Carnline says they got the call over the weekend from someone saying a man had accidentally been shot by his hunting partner…:
