A hearing is set for today on a motion to change the venue of Norris Greenhouse Jr.’s trial. He and Derrick Stafford, former Marksville City Marshals, are accused in the death of 6-year-old Jeremy Mardis. In a release distributed late Sunday night, St. Francisville Representative Kenny Havard said he thinks the state should claw back incentives paid to the New Orleans Saints after some players didn’t stand for the National Anthem Sunday in protest to criticism from President Donald Trump. Havard said disrespecting our National Anthem and flag in the name of social injustice is the highest form of hypocrisy. The Saints have condemned the president’s remarks about players being called named and fired if they protest.

Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser is visiting Germany and the United Kingdom, leading a mission along with 17 tourism partners, to promote Louisiana and the direct flights into New Orleans.
