LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt returned to practice today, Matt Moscona of ESPN 104.5 in Baton Rouge reports. Leavitt missed workouts yesterday with back spasms and was listed as doubtful on the initial SEC availability report for the Ole Miss game Saturday.

Outgoing US Senator Bill Cassidy is not endorsing either candidate in the US Senate race between Republican Julia Letlow and Democrat Jamie Davis. Cassidy says Letlow will get by just fine without him.

AAA finds it now costs more than one-thousand dollars a month to own a new car. According to the report, drivers will, on average, spend about $1,071 per month. AAA spokesman Don Redman says the big cost drivers are the depreciation of a vehicle and the finance charges…
