LSU and Ole Miss kick off SEC play this weekend with a top-10 clash in Oxford. This year’s Magnolia Bowl has some extra drama with more than 30 staff members and players switching schools since last year’s matchup. Lane Kiffin says the coaching staffs are very familiar with one another, but Ole Miss coach Pete Golding will have more intel on him than he does on his former defensive coordinator.
Golding says the familiarity is good but having three years of info from going against each other in practice can be an overload.

Quarterback Tyler Shough and wide receiver Chris Olave finished Week 1 as the NFL’s top passer and receiver. Both set career highs against Detroit as Shough threw for 410 yards and Olave put up 182 receiving yards.
Former LSU All-American corner Mansoor Delane intercepted the first pass thrown his way in his NFL debut with the Chiefs last night. He injured his shoulder on the return, though, and had an MRI to determine the severity of the injury today. Delane wore a non-contact jersey in camp because of a hairline fracture in his scapula and landed on the injury last night.
