Governor Jeff Landry signed two executive orders that he says will help to streamline the permitting processes for businesses. Landry says one of the orders seeks to secure Louisiana’s mineral supply chain.
The other order expedites environmental permitting.
Saints rookie wide receiver Jordyn Tyson is expected to miss about eight weeks with a right hamstring injury. This is Tyson’s fourth hamstring injury and sixth lower-body injury in the last four years, but Head coach Kellen Moore said this strain was unrelated. Jeff Nowak, the Saints sideline reporter for WWL radio, says it is frustrating to lose the eighth-overall pick to injury, especially when the team knew his concerning history.

Three LSU players were named to the AP preseason All-American team. Tight end Trey’Dez Green was the lone first-team selection. Two transfers made the second team in their first season in Baton Rouge. Left tackle Jordan Seaton is on the offense, and safety Ty Benefield was named to the defense.
