Felony charges against Attorney General Liz Murrill have been dropped, but political drama is not over. Murrill was indicted earlier this month on malfeasance and public intimidation charges for sending letters to several elected New Orleans officials warning them that if they continue to interfere with a new state law thar merged the clerk of court positions in New Orleans they could be removed from office.
