The felony charges against Attorney General Liz Murrill that accused her of public intimidation and malfeasance have been dropped, but the A-G remains furious she was indicted….
Murrill says the letters sent to seven elected officials in New Orleans warning them they were interfering with a new state law that merged the criminal and civil courts in Orleans Parish did not rise to the level of a crime committed.
The Murrill indictment has ratcheted up the political feud between state leaders in Baton Rouge and city officials in New Orleans. Murrill is blaming District Attorney Jason Williams for the indictment against her. State Police is already investigating and Murrill wants the FBI to look into the indictment too.
