The Funeral of former Southern baseball coach Roger Cador will be held in the F.G. Clark Activity Center on Southern’s campus Monday. Public viewing is scheduled from 3 to 6 with the memorial service following directly after. Dan Canevari coached with Cador for three years and says he coached his players inside out.

Cador passed away earlier this week at the age of 74 after a bout with brain cancer.
LSU flipped four-star D-B Greedy James from Texas. The Manvel, Texas native is a top-five safety in the 2027 class but is expected to play cornerback at LSU. He said he changed his verbal pledge because of the culture in the program and the chance to play for secondary coach Corey Raymond.
LSU is less than a month out from beginning fall camp. Top transfer quarterback Sam Leavitt will lead an LSU offense that ranked last in the SEC in total yards and rushing yards last season. Tiger Rag Editor Glenn Guilbeau credits the struggle to an underperforming offensive line, which Lane Kiffin has revamped this offseason.

Colorado transfer offensive tackle Jordan Seaton was named a Walter Camp Preseason All-American.
The United States’ World Cup continues Monday night with a matchup against ninth-ranked Belgium. The U.S. will miss star striker Flo Balogun, who received a red card in the team’s 2-0 win over Bosnia to advance to the round of 16. Louisiana Soccer Association reporter Paul Boron says the Stars and Stripes are rolling.
