Tomorrow is primary election day. Bill Cassidy, John Fleming and Julia Letlow are all vying for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate. There are also three people vying for the Democratic nomination, but LaPolitics-dot-com publisher Jeremy Alford points out that unlike on the Republican side, none of them are particularly known throughout the state.

The 2026 Louisiana turkey hunting season produced a record harvest, as more than four-thousand birds were harvested. LDWF Turkey Program Manager Cody Cedotal (SED-uh-tul) says in 2018, a decision was made to push back the start of the season, and it has paid off.

The 2026 NFL Schedule is out. The Saints will kick off the season with a two game road trip at Detroit and at Baltimore. WWL’s Mike Detillier says the early road trip will test a young Saints offense right out the gate.
The Saints follow that with a three-game homestand, starting with the home opener September 27th against the Raiders.
