LSU will close out the season in Oklahoma Saturday. While the Sooners are playing for a College Football Playoff berth, LSU is fighting for an eight-win season. Head Coach Frank Wilson says there is a lot to play for, with pride at the top of that list.

Former LSU wideout Ja’Marr Chase apologized on social media for spitting on Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey two weeks ago. Chase originally denied the incident before being suspended for Sunday’s game by the NFL. Chase and the Bengals will take the field Thanksgiving night in Baltimore along with quarterback Joe Burrow who is set to return after missing the last two months with a toe injury.

Southern and Grambling will face off in the Dome for the 51st Bayou Classic this weekend. The Tigers are looking to beat Southern for the first time since 2021, which would give Grambling its first 8-win season since 2017. Head coach Mickey Joseph says the rivalry between the two teams will only last until the game is over.

Kickoff in New Orleans Saturday is at 1 p.m.

The Pelicans notched their first win under interim head coach James Borrego in a 143-130 home victory over the Bulls last night. New Orleans returns to action tomorrow night against Memphis in their final NBA Cup game.

McNeese earned a 73-60 win over Murray State on day two of the Cayman Islands Classic and take on Middle Tennessee at 4:00 this afternoon.

UL-Lafayette fell to 1–and-6 after a 77-56 loss to UC Davis last night.
