Former LSU track star Sha’Carri Richardson dominated in her Olympic debut yesterday as she easily won the opening heat of the women’s 100 meter dash with a 10.94-second time. Richardson won the World Championship in the event in 2023 and is the favorite to win gold in Paris. She’ll race in the semi-final today at 12:50 with a chance to move on to the final scheduled for 2:20 this afternoon.

Reigning Olympic and World Champion pole vaulter Mondo Duplantis will represent Sweden. He competed in qualifying early this morning and the medal round is set for Monday.

The Americans struggled early losing their first three citing a lack of chemistry without much time playing together. They’ll face China today at 12:05. A win can secure a spot in the play-in round and give the trio a chance at automatically qualifying for the knockout rounds.
Construction at Alex Box Stadium is underway on the premium field level seating and bullpen relocation project scheduled to complete this fall. The Field Level Loges will add 52 and 106 seats along the left and right field lines respectively in the form of 36 four-person loges and 14 individual seats. Premium seating features in-seat food and beverage service and a built-in ice chest. The Tigers bullpen will be moved to beneath the right-field bleachers. Fans may request the new Field Level Loges now for the 2025 season, and the seats will be allocated based upon Tiger Athletic Foundation Philanthropic Priority Point rankings as of October 31.
