The LSU football team is on its way to Los Angeles after spending this week in Houston. Coach Ed Orgeron says freshman wide receiver Malik Nabers and freshman running back Armoni Goodwin will not play because of injuries. LSU and UCLA are set to kick off at the Rose Bowl at 7:30 on Saturday. Orgeron will take the team to the historic stadium on Friday so they can take pictures and soak in the atmosphere.

There are several college football games tonight and one involving a team from the SEC. Tennessee hosts Bowling Green at 7 PM on the SEC Network.

A pre-sale for tickets to the Saints season opener in Jacksonville against the Green Bay Packers went on sale today at 10 AM. To purchase tickets, visit ticketmaster.com. The team has the rest of the week off and they will resume practices in Fort, Worth Texas on Monday. They will use T-C-U’s facilities to conduct practices and lift weights until they can return to New Orleans.

Sports Illustrated reports Tulane will play its home games at Legion Field in Birmingham until they are able to return to on campus facility in New Orleans.

Graduate transfer Austin Kendall will start at quarterback when Louisiana Tech meets Mississippi State in Starkville on Saturday. Coach Skip Holtz says he’s been impressed with how Kendall has operated the offense
