An arrest has been made in the Shreveport shooting that killed 13-year-old Shamichael Russel and injured 2 other children on Monday. Authorities say Javieon Abbott has been charged with Second-Degree Murder in the case. We’re told more arrests may follow and additional charges are expected against Abbott.

Most Americans do not support the United States’ military conflict against Iran. That’s according to the latest polls. But Louisiana U.S. Senator John Kennedy says the operation has not only weakened Iran’s military, but they no longer have a nuclear weapons program.
This Saturday’s a big day for hunters in Louisiana as a special black-bellied whistling duck season begins. Wildlife and Fisheries Assistant Secretary Tommy Tuma says Louisiana is the first state to have a black bellied whistling duck season, and it’s because there is an overabundance of them.
The season will run through October 11th.
