In nine games with the Sun Devils last season, Tyson caught 61 passes for 711 yards and eight touchdowns, but he has battled injuries during his college career.
The draft continues at six this evening with the second round, in which the Saints have the tenth pick. They also have a pick in the third round.
Former LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane went to the Kansas City Chiefs, who traded up to the sixth overall selection to draft Delane. Former LSU safety AJ Haulcy is expected to go in the second round and quarterback Garrett Nussmeier will likely get drafted tonight and linebacker Harold Perkins could go in the third round.
The LSU Tigers are looking to snap a six-game losing streak as they are playing Mississippi State in Starkville as we speak. The Bulldogs have lost six straight SEC home games.
With just four series remaining, Louisiana Tech sits fifth in the Conference USA standings at 11-and-7 in league play. Coach Lane Burroughs says the Bulldogs will need to start playing their best baseball to put themselves in a strong position heading into the postseason, especially with a tough stretch still ahead.
