The Louisiana Republican Party makes its pick in the sixth congressional district race, and that’s raising some eyebrows. On Sunday, the executive committee endorsed Blake Miguez, who says he’s humbled to have the state party’s backing.

But Miguez’s most formidable GOP opponent, Rick Edmonds, says the executive committee made the selection despite the fact that he got more support from the state GOP central committee.
