Governor Landry signs two executive orders that he says will streamline the permitting processes for businesses. Landry says for decades, the federal government bogged down the permitting process for both small and large businesses, but the Supreme Court has ruled on cases that gives states more control of the permitting process.

A public memorial service for legendary LSU baseball coach Skip Bertman will take place one week from today. It will be held in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center at seven p-m, with doors opening at six. Bertman died last Friday at the age of 88.
