The SEC has amended its federal lawsuit against LSU, seeking the authority to expel the school from the conference. SEC CEOs are scheduled to meet Thursday to decide whether to terminate LSU as a member institution. Tiger Rag Editor Glenn Guilbeau says he thinks cooler heads will prevail before Thursday.

Guilbeau pointed out that LSU never actually broke the SEC’s rule and other schools are still in the conference after actual violations.

This huge sports story is happening as many in Louisiana are mourning the death of pro and college football analyst Mike Detillier. Former DeRidder Mayor Misty Roberts was released from jail yesterday. It comes as Roberts completed her 90-day jail sentence for having sex with a then-16-year-old boy at a house party. She will have to register as a sex offender.
