NOAA is predicting a below normal hurricane season as the federal government forecasting agency is predicting eight to 14 named storms, including three to six hurricanes and one to three major hurricanes. But National Weather Service Director Ken Graham says history has proven that a below-average season prediction does not reduce the risk of a devastating storm ravaging the coast.

State Treasurer John Fleming has challenged Congresswoman Julia Letlow to participate in three televised debates before the June 27th Senate Republican primary runoff. Fleming, Letlow and Incumbent Bill Cassidy did not participate in a TV debate prior to the May 16th primary, but Letlow and Fleming debated on the Moon Griffon Show.
