Many LSU fans are on the road this morning to Oxford to support the Tigers against Ole Miss. Record crowds are expected for the top-10 clash between LSU and Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin’s homecoming. Sally Steil with the LSU Alumni Association says she’s already heard from thousands of fans.

Because this is expected to be largest number of visitors in Oxford for a football game, Mississippi Department of Public Safety Commissioner Sean Tindell says they’ve tripled the number of officers on duty…

Two of the candidates in the sixth district Congressional race are arguing over where he each other lives. Rick Edmonds says Blake Miguez should have to give up his state senate seat, because he no longer lives in Acadaiana as he’s telling voters in the sixth district he has a home in Baton Rouge. Miguez’s campaign is firing back, accusing Edmonds of actually living in Mississippi, where he pastors at a church in McComb. Edmonds says he lives in Baton Rouge and drives to Mississippi to preach on Sundays…

The Queen Bess Island Restoration Project has been recognized by the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association as Best Restored Shore in 2026. Katie Freer with the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, says the project increased nesting habitat from just five acres to 36 acres…
