The U.S. Senate Banking Committee Heard testimony in Washington this morning about the unaffordability of flood insurance. Louisiana Senator John Kennedy voiced his frustration with the Risk Rating 2.0 formula that decides premiums and FEMA’s lack of transparency.

The No. 9 LSU Lady Tigers will host the No. 1 ranked South Carolina Gamecocks tonight. LSU Head Coach Kim Mulkey has not beaten South Carolina in her first two matchups as the Tigers head coach, but she says that the game has developed into an elite matchup that benefits all of women’s basketball.

LSU Junior Guard Jalen Cook had 21 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assist in the game

LA Tech Men’s basketball is on a three game winning streak heading into tonight’s matchup against UTEP. The Bulldogs have scored 154 points in their last two games and Head Coach Talvin Hester says that his team will be tough to beat on both sides of the ball tonight.

The Ragin Cajuns will host the Arkansas State Red Wolves tonight after going 3 and 1 in a 4 game away stretch. UL-Lafeyete has already defeated Arkansas State this season, 84 to 77 on the 13th. The ULM Warhawks will also be in action tonight as they host the South Alabama Jaguars at 7:30 tonight on ESPN+.

And LSU has hired a new offensive coordinator as Joe Sloan will take the reins from Mike Denbrock who left for Notre Dame last year. Sloan has served as the quarterbacks coach for LSU the past two seasons and Cortez Hankton will serve as co-offensive coordinator.
