Jefferson Parish firefighters pulled a father and son from an overnight blaze in Metairie. Investigators say the victims were aged 82 and 56.

The five-star wide receiver shared a picture of the visit on his twitter account as he’s standing with LSU assistant coaches Mickey Joseph and Steve Ensminger. Baton Rouge Police say a man was run over by a vehicle and died after he allegedly robbed two people outside of The Radio Bar. Sgt. L’Jean McKneely says witnesses reported an unidentified 33-year-old man held the two at gunpoint, and began shooting at their vehicle. He doesn’t believe they ran over the alleged robber on purpose…:

A Louisiana lawmaker has directed the legislative auditor to do a full evaluation of the state government’s sexual harassment policies. Slidell Senator Sharon Hewitt is making the request in light of a former aide to the governor, Johnny Anderson’s resignation. She says Anderson had a history of sexual misconduct, but it seems the governor didn’t care.:

Slidell Police say they have charged a 14-year-old after he lead cops on a high speed chase which ended in a head-on crash. They say officers tried to pull over a Lexus SUV for not having headlights on, when it took off before crashing into another vehicle injuring that driver. The teen then got out an ran, but was taken into custody by a K-9. He faces many charges including aggravated flight from an officer, resisting an officer by violence, reckless operation negligent injury and no driver’s license.

State Police is alerting the public about fraudulent LSP solicitation phone calls. Troopers say the impersonators contact the phones of potential victims by using a call that appears to be originating from Troop A. The caller is pretending to be law enforcement and attempting to gain personal information. Never give unsolicited callers any personal information.
