41-year-old Saints QB Drew Brees announces on his Instagram that he will return for the 2020 season after taking some time to consider retirement. Shreveport Police has charged 37-year-old Gregory Jones for the Sunday night fatal shooting death of his girlfriend 43-year-old Tasha Mayberry. After shooting Mayberry, Jones allegedly fled but detectives got word he was hiding out in an apartment complex.  Corporal Angie Willhite says when officers arrived to the scene they determined he was in a vacant apartment.

The killing of an endangered whooping crane in Jefferson Davis Parish leads to organizations teaming up to offer 5,000 dollars to find the bird’s killer. DeBartolo was owner during the 9ers dominate 80s and 90s run and ended his tenure with five Super Bowls.

Northwestern State has placed football coach Brad Laird on administrative leave for one week following his D-W-I arrest on Saturday night in Natchitoches. The Legislative Auditor accuses a former Webster Parish fire chief of giving himself unauthorized extra compensation for overtime and an authorized raise. Assistant Legislative Auditor Roger Harris says Billy Raspberry, Jr. gave himself a 7,500 dollar raise and 24,000 dollars in compensation that was not approved.
