Police say a deputy constable and a property manager were shot while trying to serve an eviction notice at an apartment in New Orleans east this morning. The search continues for the gunman. Officials say the shooting victims are stable and responsive at a local hosptial.

Lafayette Police are trying to figure out what led to yesterday’s murder spree committed by 36-year-old Andres Felix of Lafayette. He also took his own life. Senior Corporal Matthew Benoit says the first shooting death of Ross Chaisson happened around 10 AM and Felix then stole a vehicle and continued his shooting spree.

The third victim was his estranged wife, 43-year-old Kawana Felix.

The statewide average price for a gallon of regular gasoline shot up three cents from yesterday to $3.14 a gallon. And a gallon of diesel remains high at a statewide average of $4.50 a gallon. Triple-A’s Don Redman says the Russia-Ukraine conflict is keeping diesel well above four-dollars a gallon…

Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry becomes the first candidate to officially announce he’s running for governor. The Republican from the Lafayette area released a six-minute announcement video today seeking the support of Louisiana voters in the 2023 gubernatorial election

The recipient is 19-year-old Stephanie Morel of Loranger and the donor is all the way from Denmark, Marianne Poulsen. Ochsner Health transplant surgeon Doctor Dennis Sonnier says Marianne became interested in being a donor when her husband needed a kidney transplant…

Chris Brown Archivist at Centenary College says Lynn performed at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium in 1963, 1965 and the show ended its primary run in 1970 but not before Lynn made one last appearance this time at the top of the bill.

Lafayette Police say 36-year-old Andres Jamal Felix went on a murder spree yesterday, fatally shooting three people, including his estranged wife, 43-year-old Kawanna Felix. Authorities say Andres Felix also fatally shot 25-year-old Paige Lewis and 29-year-old Ross Chaisson before taking his own life at a family members home. Authorities have not released a possible motive.

Authorities say Andres Jamal Felix fatally shot his estranged wife, 43-year-old Kawanna Felix and before that took the life of 25-year-old Paige Lewis, who he knew, and the murder spree started with 29-year-old Ross Chaisson. Southwest Louisiana Congressman Clay Higgins has introduced a bill that he says will prevent insurance companies from failing after paying millions of dollars in claims following a storm. Higgins federal legislation would allow insurance providers to deduct their cost of settlement payouts following a federally declared disaster
