Five soldiers from Ft. Polk are in the Vernon Parish Jail today; accused of drugging and raping two women. Vernon Sheriff Sam Craft says it happened on November 25^th in Rosepine. He says forensic evidence indicates the victims were not lying about the assault, and that investigators are getting help from the Army’s criminal investigation division…:

Craft says the victims are credible witnesses. All five soldiers are behind bars at this time.

Deputies in Jefferson parish says a bank robber carjacked an idling vehicle and made his getaway…with a woman in the back seat. She was badly hurt when she bailed out of the vehicle in motion. The suspect was identified and arrested a short time later. He has a long list of prior arrests.

Early Voting for the December 10^th election ends tomorrow. There are three important constitutional amendments for you to cast a vote on, and local runoffs and other issues. Election is a week from tomorrow.

Three Americans died of carbon monoxide poisoning at their Mexico City Airbnb, and two are from New Orleans. Brooke Thorington has more from a mother who wants to hold the rental company accountable..:

The man who fell overboard from a Carnival cruise ship in the Gulf last week and lived to tell the tale says he felt a Higher Power meant for him to survive the nearly 24-hour ordeal. 28-year-old James Michael Grimes fell off the ship last Wednesday and wasn’t reported missing until the next morning. The Coast Guard pulled him out of the water on Thanksgiving evening.

In October 28-year-old Jordan Marshall, along with two other Americans, died at his Mexico City Airbnb rental from carbon monoxide poisoning. Now their families are suing the vacation rental to hold them accountable for not requiring detectors at their rentals. Attorney Michael Haggard says hotel chains are held to industry safety standards and there’s no reason why Airbnb shouldn’t either.

Vernon Parish authorities have charged five soldiers stationed at Ft. Polk with drugging and raping two women in Rosepine. Marsanne Golsby has more.

Five Ft. Polk soldiers are in custody charged with the November 25^th rape of two women in Rosepine. Vernon Parish Sheriff Sam Craft says the women who he describes as credible, said their drinks were spiked and all five men raped them. Craft says they sought medical help the morning after the attacks.

28-year-old Jordan Marshall of New Orleans was one of the three Americans who died from carbon monoxide poisoning October 30^th at their Airbnb rental in Mexico City. His mother Jennifer Marshall and the families of the other victims want the vacation rental company to be held accountable and require working carbon monoxide detectors at all of their listings.

After complaints of nude bathing 70-year-old Lee Segura of Franklin faces obscenity charges. Franklin Police say they received six complaints in a 24-hour period on Wednesday and when they arrived at his residence, they found Segura naked on the roof.

Antonio Tyson has been charged in their killings and police believe it was a random act of violence.

Five soldiers stationed at Ft. Polk are in the Vernon Parish Jail, charged with raping two women in Rosepine. Sheriff Sam Craft says the women knew one of the soldiers, and that all five of them gave the two spiked alcohol. He says once the women were incapacitated the men raped them.

The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested five Fort Polk soldiers after they allegedly drugged and raped two women at a residence in Rosepine. Authorities say one of the victims was acquainted with one of the subjects, who brought four other men to her home that she shared with a roommate. The victims claim the men brought alcohol that caused them to lose consciousness and the men allegedly engaged in non-consensual sexual contact with the females.

The President of France visits New Orleans today; the first time a French leader has done so since 1976. President Emmanuel Macron will meet with Governor John Bel Edwards and other officials, tour the French Quarter and attend a special dinner with film and entertainment figures.
