St. Tammany Parish authorities say a suspected murderer is behind bars after he was found walking down a wooded area of I-59. 40-year-old Jason Magee III is wanted in the death of his ex-wife and her boyfriend, who were fatally shot at home yesterday evening. Police say the investigation into the deadly shooting is ongoing.

The national hurricane center says Tropical Storm Cindy could produce life-threatening flash flooding along the Gulf Coast. State climatologist Barry Keim says the tropical storm is expected to make landfall near the Texas-Louisiana border on Thursday, but the largest rain totals will occur to the east of the storm’s center.

State Police are searching for two New Iberia children who are believed to be in imminent danger. Authorities say 7-year-old Easten Alfred and 4-year-old Endie Dacosta were last seen this morning. Sheriff’s deputies in St. Tammany are investigating a double homicide and have released the name of the suspect at large. They say Jason Magee III is wanted on two counts of first degree murder in the death of his ex-wife and her boyfriend.

The LSU baseball team found out why Oregon State is 56-4 on the season. The Tigers made too many mistakes to keep up with the Beavers in a 13-1 loss to the top seeded team in the College World Series. LSU walked 12 batters, made a few mistakes in the field and could only manage four hits at the plate. Starting pitcher Eric Walker left the game in the third inning with forearm soreness in his throwing arm. Coach Paul Mainieri says that was the turning point of the game….
